No. It is an LED that looks like a candle flame. There is no fire, no heat and no smoke, and nothing to blow out.
Acrylic, cut with a crystal pattern so the light scatters across the table. Acrylic is lighter than glass and far less likely to break if a candle tips over.
Each candle runs on button cells, the small round coin-type batteries used in watches and remotes. They come included with your order.
Replace them with new button cells of the same size, available at most electronics and general stores. The candle works again straight away, so you can use the same set every festival.
Remove a small chip under the candle and use the on/off switch on the base of each candle. No matches, no lighter.
